Facebook is one of the biggest and most widely used social networking site. There are many social Networking sites available on internet, among which Facebook is one of the most popular one. Apart of being the best social networking site, it is also called as the largest photo sharing site. There has been a huge rise in number of photos shared on Facebook every day or should I say “In every second”. I had read an article in “USA Today” with a headline saying “At Facebook… 1 second = 750 photographs”. Its true, Facebook photo uploads on every second. According to Facebook Stats, There are around 3 billion photos are getting uploaded in a month, that make 70 million a day. when it comes to comparison with the Yahoo’s popular photo site “Flickr ”, Flickr get 5 million photos a day.
I remember a joke which I received last night from my friend on Facebook.
Kid Born After 2009
Son says to Mom : Mom, may I see my photo albums of that time when I was a kid?
Mom says: Yeah Sure son, let me login to the Facebook.
The moral of the joke is Facebook is not just a social networking site but now it’s a place where people save their memories in form of photo album. However, Downloading the photo album or images from Facebook was always a cumbersome process. People still download images from Facebook using the “Save as” option. We did some research on this tool, and we list some of the best tool/software available for you to do this job.
1.) Picknzip– A totally free online tool which allows you downloading photo album in single zip or pdf file.

Browser Add-on / Extension
If you are looking out for some add-on for Firefox or chrome to download image or albums from Facebook directly, then its useless since there are currently no such tools available. However, I used to use Facepad which was very popular some time back later they change the tool name as Photojacker but due to some conflict with Facebook they had to shut down. However, there is still one add-on tool which was introduced recently for Firefox but its in experimental state or beta stage.
3.) Fuschipraine – Firefox add-on to download photo albums directly from Facebook
It allows directly download your friends albums or your own by just right clicking on the album and selecting to download.
– No need of any desktop installation, just Firefox add-on installation.
– Directly download albums from the Facebook site itself.
-I found this Add-on is not stable, you may observe unresponsive behavior sometimes. It needs more improvement.
The above tool will help you downloading bulk images or albums to your pc. However, If you know some other tool that would be helpful in managing or downloading album then do share with us in comment section below.
